2 big days of family fun
Over 38,000 people came through the gates at Camden Showground for the 126th Annual Camden Show and what a great Show!
Fantastic weather with blue skies allowed showgoers to make the most of Friday and Saturday. Whilst not quite as big as our 125th show last year, crowd numbers were significantly bigger than the 2010 show with in excess of 38,000 patrons, making this our 2nd biggest show ever!
Glenn McGrath officially opened the 126th Camden Show as Ambassador for the 2012 Australian Year of the Farmer. He presented awards on Saturday in many areas including the Inaugural Camden Show Farmer of the Year.
Glenn and his family could be seen around the showground throughout the day and stayed until the end of the Fireworks Spectacular proudly sponsored and supported by Foti International and Hennings Jewellers.
Congratulations to our Inaugural Farmer of the Year Award Finalists. This new concept had a great response with a large number of entries received for all three categories. Winners of each category
Farmer of the Year Michael Perich
Innovative Farmer of the Year John Fairley
Young Farmer of the Year Patrick Buckley
All sections of the show were greatly attended with many new exhibitors in all areas. It was great to see the local schools and community being involved with the Show. What great way to promote Camden.
2013 SHOW 15th & 16th MARCH

On Saturday Night the Zone 5 Finals were held at Kiama.
A HUGE congratulations to April Browne our 2012 Camden Showgirl who became one of the two representatives from Zone 5 along with the Berry Showgirl to nowproceed to the Sydney Show and compete for the coveted title of 2012 The Land Sydney Royal Showgirl.
We wish April all the best luck in the lead up to the Sydney Royal and at the competition. Lets see if the cheers from the Camden Crowd can excel Hilary Scotts at this years Royal Easter Show.
