Record crowd attends the 2013 Camden Show

Looyen-show 96More than 42,000 people attended Camden Show over the weekend for the 127th Annual Camden Show.

  

“This is yet another record attendance”, said Show Society President David Head. “The weather was glorious and the grounds were full of entertainment and fun for all ages.”

 

The 2013 Camden Show saw some great entertainment and excellent new exhibitions and displays including the AGL Lumberjack Spectacular, Pansy – the Trackless Train, the Kids Interactive displays, the Lifestyle Pavilion, Horse Ball competition, Sand Sculpting, the Chick Hatchery and Chook Washing demonstrations!

 

As well, old time favourites back again included the Rodeo, Horses, Showjumping, Beef & Dairy Cattle, Dog Agility, Sheep Yard Dog Demonstrations, Milking Demonstrations, Horse events, Poultry and Produce, the Country Style Pavilion, the AH&I hall with all the arts and crafts, Dog Show, Night Show and of course the fabulous Fireworks Finale!

 

 

Friday lived up to its name, “Community Day”, with more than 3,000 school children attending the show free of charge.

 

Congratulations to the 2013 Camden Show Farmer of the Year Award Winners.

Young Farmer of the Year - Fiona Boardman

 

For the first time the Show filled the entire Onslow Park with attractions, demonstrations and displays.

 

All competition sections of the Show were very well supported with new exhibitors in most areas.
